Arboretum results - 20th June
It was a very wet morning so it was surprising that anyone at all turned up. However, a few intrepid ones arrived just as the rain eased somewhat and enjoyed the various permutations of the controls as in the table below.

Since it was such bad weather at the event time and it is possible to leave the controls out without risk of disturbance, the course will be available next weekend, Saturday or Sunday morning on a self service basis.
The controls will be picked up after 1.30 pm on Sunday 27th June
The map and instructions are posted on the CD website attached to the event .
Since this is a new concept ( brought about by weather considerations) but potentially capable of being carried out on at least some other event sites, please advise me by email if you have done the course, so we can gauge if there is any merit in trying this again.

What a hot day!! It was a lovely day , but we all learnt that a street sprint in Taupo does involve some climb unless its along the lakeside reserve area. Without street signs on the map, you also had to keep in close touch with features too. Thanks to Chris who is steadily mapping the whole of Taupo from the old airport map to Nukuhau.

ROC "Vampire" Event Moved

Confirming the ROC Vampire Event, postponed last month because of atrocious weather, is all go for the new date of Saturday 25 July. The event starts (mass start) at 7.00pm at the Redwoods Visitor Centre, Long Mile Drive, Rotorua.
